Renata Glasc plays like a proactive enchanter who keeps her allies alive through impossible situations. Her W Bailout grants a second life to dying allies, and her R can delete the enemy team by turning them on each other. She rewards players who think two steps ahead.
Abilities
Skills Overview
P
Leverage
Passive
Renata's Attacks deal bonus damage and mark enemies. Renata's allies can damage marked enemies to deal bonus damage.
Leverage passive causes your allies' abilities to apply a slow — stacks with your own CC for persistent lockdown.
Q
Handshake
Skillshot · Root · Slow
Renata sends out a missile rooting the first enemy hit, and can recast the ability to throw the unit in a direction.
CD: 16 · Cost: 80
Q fires two slow projectiles that root when they converge on an enemy. Aim slightly ahead of moving targets — the convergence point is where both bolts meet.
W
Bailout
Buff · Revive · Berserk
Renata buffs an allied champion to fight harder, delaying their death and potentially saving them if they get a takedown.
CD: 28/27/26/25/24 · Cost: 80
W revives the ally if they kill an enemy within the buff duration. Use it on your ADC before they take lethal damage, not after. Cast it early.
E
Loyalty Program
Missile · Knockback · Stun
Renata sends out a pair of chemtech missiles, shielding allies and damaging and slowing enemies hit.
CD: 14/13/12/11/10 · Cost: 70/80/90/100/110
E is a missile that can be redirected mid-flight. If a minion or champion is between you and the target, the missile redirects off them — angle it so the knockback sends enemies into walls.
R
Hostile Takeover
AoE · Berserk · Mind Control
Renata sends out a wave of chemicals, causing any enemies hit to go Berserk.
CD: 150/130/110 · Cost: 100
R berserks are most valuable when enemies are clumped and low enough to kill each other. Don't use R on isolated targets.

Gameplay
How to Play Renata Glasc
01
Early Game
E Poke and Q Root for Lane Control
- E is your main poke tool — redirect it off minions to hit the enemy support at unexpected angles.
- Q needs precise aim — the two bolts converge at a point. Aim at where the enemy will be standing, not where they are.
- W at level 2 protects your ADC on aggressive all-ins — they can fight to 0 HP if they kill something.
- Don't waste W reactively when your ADC is already at 10% HP — cast it when they're at 40% and engaging.
- Your passive slows make Q roots much more reliable — poke with E first to proc the slow, then Q.
02
Mid Game
Use W Bailout to Win Risky All-Ins
- Use W on your jungler during invades and objective fights — they can fight past lethal for one more kill.
- Q roots are best used on isolated targets — hook them into your team with the two-bolt convergence.
- Save R for clustered teamfights, not isolated skirmishes. R on 1 enemy does nothing.
- Coordinate with your ADC on W timing — tell them when W is up so they play more aggressively.
- E can be used defensively — fire it between you and a diver to knock them back.
03
Late Game
R into Teamfight Chaos
- R timing is everything — wait for enemies to cluster around your team during an engage before activating.
- A perfect R makes enemies kill each other — aim for their ADC and mid to berserk into their tanks.
- Stack W charges — with CDR, you can W multiple allies in quick succession during long teamfights.
- Use E to peel — fire it at divers to knock them away from your backline.
- Your passive slow on all ally abilities creates persistent CC chains — coordinate with your AP carries.
Teamfighting
How to Teamfight as Renata Glasc
Renata teamfights are about W management and R timing. Keep W ready for your carries, poke with E from range, and wait for the perfect R to turn the enemy team against each other.
1
Pre-Fight — W Your Carries
Before engage
01
W your ADC before the fight begins — give them the Bailout buff when they're at 60-70% HP.
02
Q to root any flankers trying to reach your backline before the main fight.
03
E from range to poke down targets before they engage.
Don't hold W for the perfect moment if your ADC is already at 20% HP — cast it immediately. A W that's too late does nothing. Better early than never.
2
Fight — R the Cluster
Fight opening
01
Wait for enemy cluster — R is wasted on 1-2 enemies.
02
Activate R when 3+ enemies are grouped near your team — they berserk and hit each other.
03
Q any enemy trying to escape the berserk — root them in place to keep them hitting allies.
04
E defensively if divers reach your carries mid-fight.
3
Aftermath — W Refresh and Peel
Mid-fight
01
Re-cast W on your ADC if they survived the initial burst with Bailout — it refreshes after cooldown.
02
E peel any remaining enemies trying to reach your backline.
03
Q root fleeing enemies for your team to clean up kills.
The berserk from R makes enemies attack the nearest ally target — position your tankiest ally between the berserked enemies and your carries. They'll hit the tank instead of your ADC.
Tips & Tricks
Advanced Mechanics & Hidden Tech
Advanced mechanics for Renata Glasc.
Basic
Cast W Early
W Bailout should be cast when your ally is at 40-60% HP and fighting, NOT when they're at 5% about to die. It takes a moment to activate and the ally must kill something for the revive to trigger.
Basic
Q Convergence Aiming
Q fires two bolts that converge at a point ahead of you. The root triggers at the convergence point. Aim at stationary or slowed enemies — running targets are hard to root.
Intermediate
E Redirect Off Minions
E missile redirects when it hits a unit. Fire E at a minion positioned between you and the enemy — it bounces off the minion and hits the enemy from an angle they're not blocking.
Intermediate
R into Enemy Team Comp
R is most valuable against enemy comps with high single-target burst — their carries attack the nearest ally, which is usually your tank. Works best vs assassin-heavy teams.
Intermediate
W on Jungler for Objectives
During Baron and Dragon fights, W your jungler — they can fight past lethal while smiting the objective. If they die getting the smite, Bailout revives them as long as they got the kill.
Advanced
Leverage Passive Slow
Your passive applies a slow to all ally abilities that deal damage. Coordinate with your AP mid to chain Q slows — their abilities slow, you Q root the slowed target, they follow up.
Advanced
R Angle for Friendly Fire
Position yourself between enemy carries and their own team before using R. Berserked enemies attack the nearest ally — if you place yourself correctly, their ADC attacks their own tank.
Basic
E Knockback Peel
E can knock divers off your ADC — fire it directly at the diver to push them back. Great for peeling Zed, Talon, and other assassins who jump onto your backline.
Matchups
Counters & Matchups
Renata struggles against aggressive early lanes that punish her low mobility. She excels against comps that dive her team — W counters death.

Loses Against
Blitzcrank hooks you or your ADC away before you can position for Q or R. His silence also prevents you from casting W reactively.
Stay behind minions to block hooks. W your ADC proactively so they have Bailout if hooked.
Leona's sustained CC chain prevents you from casting anything. Her tankiness means R berserk barely affects her allies — they just tank the berserked damage.
Play from extreme range and Q poke. Never let Leona engage on you — you cannot fight out of her CC chain.
Nautilus CC duration is so long that your W has no value — your ally dies during the CC chain before Bailout can trigger.
W your ADC before Nautilus hooks them — proactive W wins, reactive W loses to his CC chain.
Wins Against
Sona is passive and lets you poke freely with E. Your Q roots her in place and she has no way to CC you long enough to prevent your W casts.
E poke Sona until she's low, then Q root for the kill. Your W means your ADC can all-in her without fear.
Soraka's healing is negated by your aggressive W use — your ADC survives damage that Soraka was relying on killing them. Chemtech Putrifier also counters her healing.
Buy Chemtech Putrifier early to apply grievous wounds on your E — her heals become 40% less effective.
Lux has no sustain and your E hits her from unexpected angles. Your Q roots her in place for an easy kill if she tries to E combo you.
E from unexpected angles by bouncing off minions. Once Lux uses her combo, she has no defense — immediately Q root and all-in.
