Bel'Veth is a scaling hypercarry jungler. She is weak in the very early game, farms the jungle aggressively to hit her first item spike, then becomes one of the most dangerous champions in the game once she reaches True Form. Every decision should be made through the lens of: does this get me to R form faster?
Abilities
Skills Overview
P
Death in Lavender
Passive
Bel'Veth gains permanent attack speed stacks after taking down large minions and monsters and champions. She also gains temporary bonus attack speed after using an ability.
Stack priority: dragon camps > rift herald > Baron for max passive value per minute.
Q
Void Surge
Dash · On-Hit
Bel'Veth dashes in a chosen direction and damages all enemies she passes through.
CD: 1 · Cost: 0
Q resets on kills AND assists — always know your exit direction before engaging.
W
Above and Below
Knockup · AoE
Bel'Veth slams her tail to the ground, damaging, knocking up, and slowing her enemies.
CD: 12/11/10/9/8 · Cost: 0
W → Q is your bread-and-butter combo. Cast W, then Q through the knockup.
E
Royal Maelstrom
Channel · AoE
Bel'Veth roots herself in place, channeling a storm of slashes around her that targets the lowest-health enemy and grants her lifesteal and damage reduction.
CD: 20/19/18/17/16 · Cost: 0
Use E reactively, not as opener. Activate it when you're taking burst — it gives damage reduction.
R
Endless Banquet
Transformation · Execute
Bel'Veth consumes Void coral remnants, transforming into her true form and increasing her max health, attack range, attack speed, and out-of-combat move speed. Consuming the Void coral remnants of a Void epic monster will grant her a longer ultimate duration, as well as the power to summon Void remora.
CD: 1 · Cost: 0
True Form AA pattern changes to left-right-left. Practice the rhythm in a custom game before ranked.

Gameplay
How to Play Bel'Veth
01
Early Game
Farm the Jungle, Stay Safe
- Start Red Buff → Raptors → Krugs. This path maximizes Lavender stack accumulation in under 3:30.
- Avoid early skirmishes unless you have a clear numbers advantage. You're not a level 3 fighter.
- Scuttle contest only if enemy jungler is far away. Your early 1v1 is weak pre-items.
- Look for a gank level 4–5 if a lane is very extended and not warded. Otherwise keep farming.
- Ward river tri-bushes when clearing camps on the side opposite the enemy jungler.
02
Mid Game
Spike at First Item, Pressure Objectives
- First item complete (Kraken ~12–14 min) is your first real power spike. Start looking for fights.
- Prioritize dragon soul — it triggers R form and gives you an immediate combat advantage.
- W → Q is your combo. Always initiate with W knockup, then Q through the enemy to deal damage.
- In teamfights, flank from the side. Do not run into 5 people frontally before R is active.
- Keep clearing enemy camps on the way out. Your passive requires consistent farm to keep stacking.
03
Late Game
True Form is Your Win Condition
- Baron or Elder Dragon triggers R form instantly. Secure these even if you sacrifice lane priority.
- In True Form, your AA pattern changes to a left-right-left sequence. Practice the timing.
- You can solo Baron at full build ~30–32 min. Do it when the enemy team is on recalls or objectives.
- Force 5v5 fights post-baron. Each kill refresh keeps you in True Form — chain kills to extend indefinitely.
- If behind, look for a pick on a squishy, get the void coral, activate R, then re-engage.
Teamfighting
How to Teamfight as Bel'Veth
Bel'Veth is not a frontline champion — she is a cleanup machine. Her entire teamfight value comes from getting a kill to trigger Q resets, then chain-dashing through a disorganized enemy backline.
1
Pre-Fight — Position for the Flank
Before engage
01
Never be the first one in. Let your tank or engage support initiate. Your job is to follow up, not to create the fight.
02
Position in a side bush or off-angle before the fight starts. Enter from a direction the enemy backline doesn't expect.
03
Identify your first target before engaging. It should be the most isolated or lowest-health enemy. Plan: kill one → Q reset → kill the next.
Do NOT dive into 5 people without R active. If True Form isn't available, hover the perimeter and wait for your team to engage first.
2
Engage — W First, Always
Fight opening
01
W → Q is your engagement combo, always in that order. W knocks up your target (0.75s airtime), then Q through them during the knockup for maximum damage.
02
After Q, auto-attack rapidly. Your attack speed is your DPS. At full build with Lethal Tempo stacked you're hitting 3–4 times per second.
03
Use E reactively, not proactively. Royal Maelstrom's damage reduction is your 'oh no' button — pop it when you're getting burst, not as an opener.
04
Q has 4 charges and 4 directions. The cardinal directions are fixed relative to your position. Plan your escape direction before pressing engage.
3
Cleanup — Chain the Kills
Mid-fight & after
01
Every kill resets Q. After your first kill, immediately dash toward the next enemy and repeat. Each kill makes the next kill easier.
02
In True Form, your attacks change. The left-right-left pattern hits harder — let each animation complete for maximum DPS output.
03
After the fight, immediately look for the nearest epic monster if True Form is still active. Securing Baron or Dragon extends your form.
The best teamfight play: let your tank get engaged on, wait for the enemy to spend their CC, then flank → W the isolated carry → Q reset chain.
Tips & Tricks
Advanced Mechanics & Hidden Tech
Advanced mechanics for Bel'Veth.
Advanced
Q Direction Memory
Q always dashes in the same 4 cardinal directions regardless of which way you're facing. Memorize that
Q up always means north on the minimap. Pre-plan your escape direction before engaging — don't panic-click.
Advanced
True Form AA Pattern
In True Form, attacks deal bonus damage on every 2nd and 3rd hit. Don't just auto-attack randomly — let each animation complete. Use
A + click (attack-move) to stay accurate on moving targets.
Intermediate
W Through Walls
Bel'Veth's W slam hitbox is circular and wide. You can catch enemies on the other side of thin terrain walls (scuttle pit edges, baron pit sides). Practice in a custom game.
Advanced
Camp Stack Priority
Large monsters give more Lavender stacks than small ones:
Epic > Raptors > Gromp > Wolves > Krugs. Always clear high-stack camps first. Never skip Raptors — best stack camp per second spent.
Basic
E Cancel on CC
Royal Maelstrom cancels if you get hard CCed. Never cast E before the enemy team has used their stuns. Wait for CC to land on teammates first, then dive in safely.
Advanced
Void Coral Race
After you secure Baron or Dragon, enemy champions can also pick up the Void Coral. Always auto-attack or Q toward it immediately after the epic monster dies — losing it means the enemy enters True Form instead of you.
Intermediate
Q Reset from Assists
Q resets on kills AND assists. If you're losing a 1v1, drawing a teammate's AoE ability for an assist refreshes your Q charges mid-fight without needing the killing blow yourself.
Basic
Jungle Path Timing
Full clear at 3:15–3:30 puts you ahead on stacks vs most junglers. Check the enemy starting side at 1:30, then take the camp they didn't start on. Deny their second buff whenever it's safe.
Matchups
Counters & Matchups
Bel'Veth struggles against champions who can invade early, contest her stacking, or peel her off the backline. She excels against immobile, slow-clearing junglers who can't match her late-game scaling.

Loses Against
Lee Sin can invade Bel'Veth at level 3 and win the 1v1 convincingly. His early game damage, mobility, and ability to kick her away from camps or out of True Form windows make him a nightmare early.
Start on the opposite side of the map from Lee Sin. Do not fight him 1v1 before 2 items.
Thornmail + Rammus's W reflect destroys Bel'Veth's attack-speed-based damage. The more you hit him, the more you die. He also engages perfectly on your backline before you can flank.
Build Lord Dominik's if Rammus is in the game. Use Q dashes to proc damage instead of autoing him during his W.
Trundle steals your resistances and heals from your damage. His pillar interrupts your Q dash directions. He out-duels you almost every time until your 3rd item.
Disengage immediately when Trundle ults you. Never fight him 1v1 unless R is active and you're significantly ahead.
Warwick can track Bel'Veth with his W passive and invade early. His R suppression cancels all your Q dashes during the cast and he sustains heavily through your damage.
Play the opposite side. Ward your camps heavily. Winning is about outpacing his gold income, not outfighting him.
Wins Against
Amumu clears slowly and has no answer to your scaling. You can invade his jungle freely, and in teamfights you can Q out of his R before the stun fully registers.
Counter-jungle aggressively. Take his blue side when he's ganking. Force unfavorable smite fights over Scuttle.
Karthus is immobile, clears slowly, and has no escapes. You can invade freely. His R becomes less lethal as you build sustain. A consistently farmed Bel'Veth beats Karthus every late game.
Invade at level 3. Steal his camps. He never wins a 1v1 against you. Build Lifesteal if Karthus is fed.
Hecarim beats you early but falls off hard mid-to-late while you scale exponentially. If you survive the early game without giving him free objectives, the flip is strongly in your favor.
Play safe until 2 items. Avoid skirmishes before 12 minutes. Counter-farm and make cross-map plays.
Nunu wants to roll into you but his damage is manageable and Q dashes let you escape his ultimate channel easily. You out-scale him dramatically at 2 items.
If Nunu ults, simply Q out in any direction. Farm fast, hit your spike first, then dominate objectives.
