The Story of Urgot
Urgot was Noxus's executioner in Zaun — a man whose job was the application of lethal force to people the state had decided needed it. He was good at this and took it seriously, which in Noxus is the correct approach to any job. Then he was betrayed by Swain, or by elements within the empire's power structure, and sent to Zaun's Dredge labor camp — the most brutal penal facility available — to be destroyed quietly.
He was not destroyed. He survived the Dredge through the same qualities that had made him effective as an executioner, amplified by the specific thing that happens to people who survive experiences that are supposed to break them: he became something different and more dangerous than what went in. He rebuilt himself in the Dredge — replacing destroyed parts with whatever was available, engineering his own body into a weapons platform, emerging as something that Noxus would not recognize as the man it had discarded.
His philosophy has simplified: Noxian society is corrupt, its pretensions of strength are lies told by the weak to justify their dominion, and the honest version of strength — the kind that has been through the Dredge and kept moving — has no patience for the lies anymore. He is not rebelling against Noxus. He is eating it from below, one betrayer at a time, rebuilding himself and recruiting the discarded and moving toward something that the empire will not see coming because it threw it away.
