The Story of Rammus
No one knows what Rammus is. This is not for lack of investigation — scholars from multiple Shuriman institutions have dedicated careers to the question, and the best answer they've collectively produced is a shrug. He is bipedal, armored, armadillo-like, and appears to have opinions. He says very little. What he does say is generally "ok." This does not stop people from projecting elaborate meaning onto both his presence and his brevity.
The legends that have accumulated around Rammus are wildly inconsistent. Different Shuriman communities claim him as a local deity, a messenger from the sun, a spirit of the desert, a guardian of ancient ruins, and the answer to questions nobody remembers asking. He wanders between these communities without confirming or denying any of it. He helps when help seems needed. He leaves when the situation resolves. He says "ok."
Rammus has been around long enough that the Shuriman ruins he moves through predate the current empire and its ruins. He knows the layout of structures that no living person has seen intact. He does not share this knowledge, or if he does, it comes out as "ok" in tones that people interpret as they like. Whether this represents profound wisdom, extreme simplicity, or something else entirely remains the central mystery of one of Shurima's most beloved enigmas.
