The Story of Kai'Sa
Kai'Sa was eleven years old when a Void incursion swallowed the Shuriman village she lived in. Everyone else died. She survived by instinct and luck, trapped in the underground Void nest with creatures that had no interest in a small girl except as something to consume. Over years of desperate survival, she bonded with a Void symbiote — a living suit that merged with her skin and gave her abilities no human should possess.
The suit can never be fully removed. It's become part of her biology, woven into her nervous system. Kai'Sa fought in the Void's darkness for so long that she forgot what sunlight felt like. She hunted Voidborn creatures by herself, learning their patterns, their weaknesses, and how to destroy them without backup or resources. When she finally emerged, she'd spent more years underground than above it.
The world above didn't welcome her back. Shuriman villagers saw the suit and saw a monster. Only her track record — piles of dead Voidborn, settlements saved — kept them from killing her. She continues to fight alone because that's safest: her symbiote can be mistaken for the enemy she hunts. She's never forgotten what it means to be human, and she fights to make sure others get to keep being human, even when it costs her the chance to be recognized as one.
