The Story of Cho'Gath
Cho'Gath is a creature of the Void — one of the oldest and largest of the Voidborn that has crossed into Runeterra, a being of pure appetite that has been consuming things in the physical world long enough to grow to a scale that most Voidborn never approach. Size, in Cho'Gath's case, is directly related to consumption: it eats, it grows, it eats more. The process has no natural terminus. It will continue as long as there are things to consume.
It is not mindless. This is the unsettling thing about Cho'Gath relative to the simpler Voidborn: it reasons. It assesses situations, identifies optimal targets, recognizes patterns in its opposition. Whether this intelligence is native to the Void or was acquired through consuming things that had intelligence is unclear. The practical result is the same: a Voidborn that is very large, very hungry, and more capable of solving the problem of prey than most prey is capable of being.
Its relationship to the other Void creatures is ambiguous — it is not coordinated with them in any obvious way, but it does not consume them either. Whether this represents hierarchy, mutual recognition, or simple indifference to creatures that share its void-nature is unknown. It operates in Shurima's Void-touched regions primarily, where the breach gives it proximity to the dimension it comes from and the landscape gives it the kind of isolation that allows something its size to move without constant obstruction.
