The Story of Kayle
Kayle and Morgana are twin sisters — daughters of the mortal Aspect of Justice and a human woman who died giving them life. Kayle embraced their father's mission completely: absolute justice, the kind that does not accommodate weakness or mercy, the kind that treats law as a higher principle than any individual situation. She ascended beyond mortality, becoming something that is more Aspect than person, wielding divine fire in service of a judgment that she has never doubted.
She has been gone from Runeterra for a very long time — operating on a timescale that is not human, pursuing Justice at a cosmic level, returning to the world periodically when she assesses it is necessary. Each return finds Runeterra changed in ways that require updating her assessment. She does this updating efficiently and without sentimentality. The world's current state is evaluated against the standard she carries. Runeterra consistently fails the evaluation. She is consistently unmoved by this.
Her relationship with Morgana is the most painful thing in her existence, and she does not permit herself to experience it as painful. Morgana fell — chose the mortals over the mission, chose mercy over law, chose to remain in the world rather than ascend above it. Kayle calls this corruption. She is not wrong by her own standard. She may be wrong by a standard she has removed herself too far from divinity to access anymore. She will not consider this possibility. Doubt is not a feature of absolute justice.
