The Story of Tristana
Tristana always knew she was going to be a soldier. While other Yordles channeled their energy into invention or mischief-making, Tristana fixed her considerable enthusiasm on one goal: joining the Megling Commandos, a Yordle unit that deploys to conflicts across Runeterra. She drilled, she trained, she got her hands on Boomer — a cannon that requires someone with a Yordle's magical resilience to fire without losing their arms — and she never looked back.
The Commandos have deployed Tristana to more campaigns than she can easily count, which means she's seen more of Runeterra's wars than most living beings. This experience has given her something most people don't expect from someone who looks like an oversized excited child: a clear-eyed understanding of what wars actually cost. She keeps fighting because she believes in protecting people, not because she's naive about what that protection requires.
What she loves about Boomer is precisely the thing that makes other soldiers nervous: the sound it makes, the impact it delivers, and the absolute clarity it provides. When Boomer speaks, the problem resolves. Tristana finds this deeply satisfying, and she would like everyone to understand that this is a perfectly reasonable thing to find deeply satisfying.
